Sunny May Days
Second class had a busy and productive May while still managing to have fun along the way. 13 of Ms O’ Farrell’s boys made their First Holy Communion, we had a Bike parade, a book fair and buns from the boys in Seomra na Laochra! Yum!
We are learning about seeds and planting at the moment so we experimented with making little characters from grass seed and nylon stockings. It was a hot day so lovely to work in the shade of our Horse Chestnut trees.
As part of Local History month in June, we got ahead of the game and had a lovely visit to our parish church with Mrs Kelly’s boys and Fr Enda.
Fr Enda gave us a very informative talk on the history of our church. The boys were enthralled by the stained glass windows depicting the Twelve Apostles.
Roll on June for lots more fun and learning.
