NOTICES FOR PARENTS -  Notices for Parents Monday 7 September 2020

7 September 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you very much for your support & cooperation over the past week.  It was a great start and just magic to have the boys back in school.  Hopefully, this week will be a good one too!

A few matters (8 in total):

1. School bags:  The only items that the boys are to bring to school for now are a lunchbox and water bottle.  No school bags please.

2. Please continue to drop and go in the morning.  Reminder: Surnames A-L from 9am to 9.10am & surnames M-Z between 9.10am and 9.20am.  It looks like the temporary staff car park is also making a very positive difference to traffic flow & we would ask that no car parks/pulls up in front of this entrance.

3. We received our set of 18 ipads last Friday and are keen to get started with work on our virtual platforms with the boys.  It is very important to have a plan B in place if a class/classes/area of the school has to stay at home for a period of time.

We need parents to fill please fill in the relevant online forms linked below ASAP.

Consent form to set up a Class Dojo student account for Junior Infants to Second Class can be found here - https://www.cashelbns.ie/surveys/survey-1/

5. From Monday 14 September onwards, our lovely new Junior Infants will, like everybody else, be coming to school between 9am and 9.20am and will finish at 2pm.  Note that all boys are to be dropped to school by their parents from the colour-coded gates (A,B,C & D).  No parents on school grounds in the morning.

6. In the afternoon, only parents of Junior Infants, Senior Infants & First Class are invited to the appropriate waiting ‘spots’ inside the school walls.

7. We do not recommend that boys bring their own personal hand sanitiser.  If you feel they need it (for after school perhaps?), then just remind the boys not to take it out or use it during the school day.

8. Coats/rain jackets must be brought to school by every boy every day.  We want to be able to bring the boys outside regularly during the school day.

Once again, thank you very much & continued good health to you all.

You can contact me via email at principal@cashelbns.ie or call the office and I’ll ring you back when free.

Le meas,

Will Ryan
