School Representatives

Congratulations to Callum Butler Buckley who will represent our school in football trials and Colm Ryan who will represent our school at the hurling trials for the Primary Games Competition. Best of luck to both boys.

Soccer Training

Soccer training continues on a Tuesday with our FAI coaches and Mr Taaffe. We are preparing for our blitz which will take place after the Easter holidays.

Hurling Training

All the boys from infants to 6thenjoyed their training with the coaches from Cashel King Cormac’s this month. This will continue after the Easter holidays. Hurling with Mr Molloy, Mr Ryan and Mr Coskeran continues on Wednesday evenings after school. We have lots of matches coming up so it is important we practise over the holidays.

Yard Games

There is a new schedule of events in the Junior Yard. For the last term every class gets to spend a lunch time on the small pitch. Here we can play two games of soccer. The junior infants were really excited about this. Ms Slattery continues to work with each class on her Smart Moves programme and the boys in first and second is trying to improve their skipping skills.

Swimming

3rdClass finished their swimming lessons in Clonmel this month. 3rd-6thgets a great opportunity each year. Thanks to all our wonderful teachers and SNA’s who come with us every week.

Easter Egg Hunt

Our infants enjoyed an egg hunt before their holidays.

Tennis

Our tennis players Jack O' Dwyer, Mikey Gayson, Colm Ryan and Briain O' Donoghue went to Cork to play Scartleigh National School in the second round of the Munster Primary Schools Tennis Championships 2019. They had a great day and were not successful but well down to the boys on representing their school.
